There was a great turnout at the AGM, held last Wednesday, as we said thank you to Ruth Howgill who stepped down after 7 years as Chairman and an incredible 20 years on the committee.
We presented Ruth with some silver tennis racket earrings, a Pandora charm for her bracelet, and some flowers as a small token of our appreciation for all her hard work, much of it done behind the scenes and including, but not limited to, chairing meetings, running the Wimbledon ballot, maintenance issues, contracts, insurance, FastCourts booking system, and the Bedford Cup.
Since Ruth now has more time to play tennis, look out for her on the courts!
